One valley, different risks
Why mold testing in Las Vegas looks different by neighborhood
The whole valley shares the same desert climate, but the homes don't share the same problems. Older central Las Vegas and North Las Vegas neighborhoods tend to have aging plumbing, original ductwork, and decades of small leaks behind the walls. Newer master-planned areas like Summerlin, Enterprise, and Centennial Hills have tight, energy-efficient construction that holds moisture in once it gets there, plus heavy landscape irrigation against stucco walls.
Henderson and Boulder City mix both: historic homes near downtown and newer builds in the hills. Out in Pahrump and rural parts of the valley, private wells and evaporative coolers add water questions that city homes rarely face.
What doesn't change is how we work. Every inspection follows the same certified protocol, every sample goes to a certified microbiology laboratory, and every report is written by someone with no removal job to sell you.
Valley-wide calendar
When Las Vegas homes are most likely to need a mold inspection
Moisture in the desert follows a calendar. These are the windows when our phones ring most, and why.
-
July to August
Monsoon storms drive water into roofs, stucco, and window frames, while AC systems run nonstop.
-
September
Storm moisture trapped in walls starts to grow mold weeks after the rain ends.
-
October to November
AC cycles shorten, drain pans hold water, and cooler nights create condensation inside walls.
-
Spring
The first AC run of the year pushes anything that grew over winter through the ducts.
